Aleksei Is an American actress, model, and dramatic performer her home in New York. Her birthplace was St. Louis and moved swiftly to New York City when she was only two days old. In 1991, she graduated at Barnard College with a degree in art history. She was an apprentice for An American Place, a restaurant in New York City for one year. Guarnaschelli had her early culinary training by watching his mother edit cookbooks and test recipes. She was a chef under Larry Forgione and then at various restaurants in New York France and Los Angeles including Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot. She was appointed head chef at Butter. Guarnaschelli was a guest on Food Network's Iron Chef America where she took on Cat Cora in the Farmers Market Battle of 2007. She also participated in the third place of the season up in The Next Iron Chef, as well as a judge for the show from the beginning. In addition, she competed in Food Network's Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast episode but was eliminated from the event. She became a sous-chef to Iron chef Geoffrey Zakarian after the fourth season of The Next Iron Chef. She was the host of Food Network's The Cooking Loft With Alex Guarnaschelli in 2008.
