Selena Gomez is an internationally famous actress and singer. The Disney film Wizards of Waverly Place was one of her most well-known projects. Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. Her full name is Selena Marie. Her parents are Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez. Her mother was barely 16 at the time Selena arrived. She was nine when was offered her very first job in the show industry by being offered the part of Gianna on Barney and her Friends. So she was one of many children to have played with Barney, the famous anthropomorphic pink dinosaur. Selena was a part of the cast for a number of seasons of seasons 7 and 8,, from 2001 until 2003. Interesting facts: Demi Lovato, who was part of Barney's Friends at the time as well, worked alongside Selena. After leaving the series Selena Gomez auditioned for several roles on other shows as well as films, but wasn't much success. In 2003, she had one small role Mini Spies 3: (Spy Kids 3D: Game Over) and also on Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire in the role of Julie. She was also cast in the role of Emily Grace Garcia, a person she wrote as a musical in 2006's Brain Zapped.
