Selena Gomez, an actress and singer, is a household name across the world. She is the star of Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place is one of her most successful productions. The full title of Selena Gomez is Selena Marie Gomez. Born on July 22, 1992, in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett is her mother and Ricardo Gomez is her father. She was just 16 when Selena became a mother. The year 2009 was when she landed her first role in show business as Gianna in Barney and her Friends. She was one of the children that were the only anthropomorphic purple dinosaur in history. Selena participated in a number of episodes in season 7 and 8 between 2001 and 2003. Fun fact: Selena is not the only performer to have appeared on Barney and the Friends in this time period. Demi Lovato was also part of the team that starred in the series. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for various series and films following the conclusion of the show Barney and his Friends. She was not successful. She got a small role in the 2003 movie Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D Game Over) and another like Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. The role in the film of Emily Grace Garcia was assigned to her in the 2006 film Brain Zapped, for which she wrote music.
